Cute huh? I love the boots.
The way this thing works is this: Participants must all start at the starting point, pick up their first card, and ride to consecutive stations to get their full Poker hand. Then after the ride is completed, the best hands are determined and prizes are given out.

There's lots of prizes:

and lots of participants:

As I was wandering around I spied these wild socks on someone and just had to take a photo. Wow!

There were ponies pulling carts. This little guy was just prancing around, shaking his mane and really showing off. He was a studly little stallion. And he knew it!

The pony tied onto the cart in the rear must have been "back up".

This little cutey had to tilt his head to see which way the riders were going.

It was a nice gathering. A beautiful day and everyone had a great time.

The yearly poker ride happens right around Mother's Day each year. So next year, if you are looking for something fun to do on that weekend, come on out to Fort Rock and join us at the Poker Ride!

Looks fabulous! Maybe we will join you one of these years. :)
That's such a fun idea! I think I like th e pony carts best of all.
That looks a fun day. (If you like riding horses)
After being thrown off one as a kid and getting concussion I have never felt at ease on a horse but I love to look at them. They are a beautiful animal. I must send Lizzy over here she rides.
I wish we had been there Mom! Looks like it was a blast!
The pony carts are just too adorable. Makes me wish that I had little ones to take to these sort of events. I take the dogs for a walk where a neighbor owns goats, and the doxie wants to but heads with them!
Grrr....I posted a comment a couple of days ago that addressed you all individually, saw it post, and now it has disappeared! I'm sorry Mo,KC, Diane,Amber and Rowena. I don't remember what I wrote! Anyway, thank you all for your comments.
