We went by an old homestead site that we have visited numerous times. I actually saw this place when it was still standing, about ten years ago.

This remnant building was just a little further down the road.

We drove out toward one of the unnamed buttes in the area and took the road that circles the base.

After hiking to the top we were rewarded with this spectacular view! You can see Cougar Mountain off in the distance, beyond the lava flow. And to the right, even further away is Tablerock, aptly named.

We continued our exploration through some of the little rock canyons.

After several hours we had to head back to the truck...The shadows were getting long and it was time to return home. But we'll be back!! To be continued....

Che luoghi meravigliosi! le tue foto sono splendide. Ciao Daniela.
ReplyDeleteThank you Daniela! Glad you enjoyed the photographs. I feel very lucky to live where I do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning place, a place I have little knowledge of, so hauntingly beautiful and austere. You can sense its quiet splendor in that amazing vista photo. Thanks for the tour.
